Due to a new client win, we're looking for 3 Technical Support Engineers - we call the Technical Architects.

You'll be involved with the new solution design and support as we deploy our software, systems and technology onto client sites. Full job spec details below.

Provide a Technical Architect support function for Xerox and Customers solution design and its technical requirements by ensuring timely and effective resolve of software/hardware issues with output devices and provide recommendations for improvement and configuration to the Managed Service environment.

Act as enablers, in achieving a measurable service as per the individual account contract commitments, within the managed service contracts, as directed by the Technical Architect Team Leader or Technical Architect Manager

Provide documentation in support of a Managed Service contract and have the ability to liaise with third parties to resolve technical issues.

Principal Accountabilities

- Provide technical infrastructure support for design and technical delivery service for contract life, from proof of concept to live deployment/service delivery acceptance for all software or hardware solution components, including current and future innovations for service improvements
- Provide a technical work stream escalation point for any customer or Xerox related service level impacting incident or problem, by managing the escalation to a successful conclusion, under direction with the XGS European Technology and Infrastructure Manager
- Provide support to the technical team leader to achieve the smooth implementation of new or amended services within the managed services contracts by providing technical support in each of the end to end solution components and infrastructure items, understanding alternative packages and able to recommend the correct tool for the proposal, ie Xerox verses third party comparison
- Engage and assist other work streams, as required as well as providing a support role during the testing and rollout of the technical solution within the guidelines of the contracted service.
- Assist in the design and implement the infrastructure, enablers and tools to produce the Management Information and Billing reports
- Produce supporting documentation required as part of the Managed Service contract.

Experience Required

- Experience of working in an IT network environment liaising with other IT minded personnel.
- A background to include some or all of the following would be desirable including Xerox software and device solutions.
- Networking to include a working knowledge of IP,UDP,TCP,DNS,DHCP,SNMP and 802.x
- Windows 2003 or 2008
- MS Active Directory
- VM Ware
- LDAP a bonus
