Technical Architect (Retail)
Edelway is a Swiss IT Services Consultancy. As part of a very large IS/IT transformation program (due to last 5 to 10 years), our large multinational end-client in Suisse Romande is currently looking for a Senior Retail Technical Architect (Contract/Permanent).
Working language: English. French is a plus.
THE ROLE
*Participate in providing technical inputs concerning the technical architecture of the different components for the program, ensuring that the design follows architecture standards
*Developing and writing the technical documentations according to the technical design
*Translating business requirements and product vision into application and technical architecture
*Managing the progress of several technical projects for designing and delivering the different platforms
*Validate that E/M-commerce and Call Center projects are architected according to the plans
*Validate that the teams deploying the SAP-platforms successfully meet the deadlines for production
*Design and document the technical architecture of several retail components (Point-of-Sales, Telephony, Call Center Applications, Boutique Applications, etc.) in addition to E-business and Retail/CRM technical documentation building
*Provide direction and guidance on solution designs and architecture to ensure appropriate fit with enterprise standards.
*Deal with an extended set of stakeholders including Project/Program Managers, Delivery Organization representatives and Business, Application/Systems, Data/Information and Technical architecture disciplines and must be able to explain clearly the benefits of an architectural approach.
*Provide technical mentorship to other teams members if need be
YOUR PROFILE
*Experience in a similar position, in multinational environment, of at least 3 to 6 years
*Knowledge of retail related Business Processes and Best Practices; experience in key retail components such as payment processing, merchant of record, product management tools, global address validation, security, order processing and fulfilment would be highly appreciated
*Performed and led large eBoutiques and web sites designs and integration to Back End ERP systems
*Participated in E-commerce and Mobile business applications design and integration
*Experience in designing technical architectures that can scale to high volumes, and achieve system performance on a global scale with High-Availability and Disaster Recovery knowledge would definitely make a difference
*Knowledge of IT Management & Business Administration Systems
*Knowledge of some Architecture Frameworks such as TOGAF
*Knowledge of the Service Oriented Architecture paradigm
*Exposure to SAP is highly valued
