Technical Architect (P10)

Our client, a leading government organisation, is currently seeking an experienced Technical Architect for an initial 12 month contract.

The role will be responsible for providing communications design and engineering expertise on a major greenfield project, ensuring all applicable ICT infrastructure system models, frameworks and standards are met.

Responsibilities:
 Provide design patterns and cost models to estimate and finalise the procurement of ICT infrastructure.
 Ensure fixed infrastructure is designed and delivered in a consistent and repeatable manner and to a set of approved standards;
 Minimisation of ICT service diversity
 Support the detailed design of ICT infrastructure (ICT Managed WAN, LAN, WLAN, Unified Communications, Security, Desktop, Printers) to 18 key projects, from early cost estimation through to detailed physical design;
 Support in pre-schematic and schematic design reviews of select ICT facilities against ICT Standards.  Manage and document deviations as required;
 Assist with the definition of a cost estimation framework for ICT infrastructure
 Ensure fixed infrastructure designs align to network architecture frameworks in support of a modern and converged infrastructure;

Key Deliverables
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key deliverables:
 Development of Infrastructure Services Requirements
 Development of Functional Specifications
 Development of Infrastructure Services Solution Architecture
 Engage in technical design reviews for communications designs
 Provide technical expertise in the design and delivery of telecommunications platforms to new facilities.

Experience
 Experience in scoping, architecting, designing and commissioning enterprise unified communications solutions;
 Proven track record in the architecting and engineering of infrastructure solutions for large enterprises;
 A proven track record in applying enterprise wide infrastructure architecture standards and policies on schedule and budget
 Experience in working with business and ICT stakeholders at a senior level within an organisation;
 Experience in the technical planning, estimation, and review phases of large-scale infrastructure projects
