Technical Architect - Open Source, Agile/TDD - London - Contract

We are looking for a highly experienced and enthusiastic Technical Architect/Technologist/Polyglot Engineer/Principal Engineer (or any other name that might fit this description) to join this high level, world renowned management consultancy, working as part of their Digital team alongside some of the best mind in technology and Agile processes/transformation.

The successful candidate will ideally come from a development background but have a wider technology agnostic knowledge and a passion for technology and process. Strong experience working across multiple, large-scale Agile projects at once would be ideal. Typical languages you'll be working with on a daily basis include Java, Scala, Clojure, Haskell, Ruby, Python, Perl. You'll be working in a number of areas including Big Data, data analytics, microservices, Cloud, NoSQL, UI/UX.

You must have excellent knowledge of software design and architecture across a variety of languages. You be highly knowledgeable in not just development but also the technologies/tools associated with TDD/BDD, QA, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, build and automation, and a DevOps mind-set.

This will be a hands on role, of course you'll be heavily involved in the architecture, but you'll also be heavily involved with the developers - pairing, mentoring, running workshops, etc.

As a client facing Technical Architect, you must be a strong communicator and not just have an excellent grasp of technology but also have an excellent knowledge of Agile environments (TDD/BDD, Scrum, KanBan, Lean, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, DevOps culture, etc). The ideal Technical Architect will have a forward thinking, dynamic, innovate approach and have a real enthusiasm towards technology and his/her job.
