My client is looking for a Technical Architect who is passionate about designing, building and deploying complex, maintainable and scalable enterprise systems and applications while providing leadership throughout the entire life cycle of sophisticated web solutions to both the customer and the team.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Collaborate and work with multi-disciplinary teams to plan, design, estimate and document solutions using modern methodologies.
- Fulfil agreed to deliverables within time, budget and scope.
- Manage and direct more junior architects and developers; provide mentoring on methodologies, best practices and specific technologies.
- Apply knowledge of relevant technologies, analysis tools, operating systems, communication protocols, databases and Datamodelling to projects.
- Apply knowledge of programming paradigms/standards and when appropriate develop reusable components that positively impact future projects.
- Produce comprehensive and accurate documentation including the Technology Architecture Documentation, deployment plan, environment plan etc.
- Participate in client pitches and proposals.
- Communicate with clients on key technology issues throughout the duration of projects and regarding the strategic direction for their organisation.

KEY SKILLS:

- Minimum of 5-6 years relevant and progressive industry experience, mainly in web technologies, but also have significant exposure to a variety of environments and architectures in order to resolve difficult integration projects.
- At least 3 years' experience in developing web solutions with development teams through full software life cycle. Experience with remote teams is advantage.
- Experience with web development and related technologies: HTTP, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, AJAX exposure to some of dynamic frameworks like .NET or J2EE.
- Should possess experience in a consulting environment and in successfully meeting deliverables for a variety of high profile clients.
- Experience with a modern development architecture eg Jenkins, SVN, Cruise Control, Maven, Clover, eclipse, Visual Studio.
- Exposure to or knowledge of CMS Exposure to or knowledge of CMS (EzPublish, Sitecore, Umbraco, Alfresco, Drupal, Documentum, Intervowen..) community platform such as Jive and Liferay, eCommerce and Middleware products in particular ATG experience will be a considerable asset.
- Comfortable in working by agile methodology combined with iterative process.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills are essential.
