Senior Technical Application Support Manager - 3 months - Amsterdam - English

Short descriptionTechnical management, incl. second/third line support, of various mission critical business applications at client's High Available Datacentre (HA DC). The TAM will work in the JIP2 migration project, supporting migration of applications to the new DataCentre and the transition to the operations team responsible for technical application management.

Project descriptionThis project is responsible for the migration of multiple applications and databases from the current hosting location to the new HA DC. In scope of this project is also the migration (or implementation) and deployment of various (business) applications, including their databases, processes etc. These applications will be handed over to the High Availability operations team.

Tasks and responsibilities Installation and deployment of applications/databases
Installing updates and patches
Technical operations management, ie solve incidents, perform maintenance, deploy, support in changes and bug fixing
Second and third line technical support on applications, both advising and problem solving
Participate in shifts (standby) for the applications requiring 24/7 support
Participate in projects
Technical support in testing of applications
Reporting, writing/maintaining technical documentation
Handover to High Availability services Back Office team

Education and proven knowledge/experience
IT education at academic level or equivalent
Good experience within energy sector
More than 5 year hands-on experience in technical application management
Proven extensive experience with implementation, operations management and testing of business applications in an energy trading environment
Good technical knowledge of at least one of the following applications
Axway
GEN eBase
EMS
Solarc RightAngle
Exxeta
Trayport
Thorough knowledge of operating systems (Unix/Linux/Windows 2008 and up)
Knowledge of certificates and how they work
Fluent in English language (oral and written)
Must be willing to also perform routine type of activities
Team player

We are looking for an allround, result driven, very experienced technical expert with a hands-on mentality. No application development/configuration skills needed, the focus is on technical application management.
