Job Mission:
The Technical Application Manager has a key role for the creation of technical design of functional and non-functional changes of applications. Within projects and changes, he/she is from a technical perspective a key linking pin between internal and external infrastructure and application service providers and the IT Competence Centers delivering projects and functional changes.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Works closely with infrastructure and application service providers on designs of new capabilities that adhere to technology and system architectural guidelines.
- Drafts and reviews high level technical design documents. Owns the high level design of the infrastructure hosting the application from a functional perspective
- Takes the lead in proposing and executing solutions for structural problems in the application portfolio related to performance and application installation.
- Promotes standardization and re-use of technical application solutions.
- Ensures smart integration of application frameworks with the application Servers.
- Helps to align and facilitate technical strategy with business objectives.
- Identifies opportunities to modify or update the technical architecture optimizing trade-offs between life-cycles of individual applications and infrastructure components.
- Analyses the current technical application layer setup to detect critical deficiencies and recommends solutions for improvement.
- Creates a high-level strategy and design view of the set of products and technologies in the infrastructure portfolio.
- Within projects, is responsible for the delivery of infrastructure solutions towards the
- Competence Centers. Within operations & Infrastructure, engages external infrastructure service providers and internal infrastructure experts to assure and organize the delivery of those solutions.

EXPERIENCE:

- 7+ years of experience within a similar position.
- Must have extensive knowledge of technical setup of:
- Applications (from off-the-shelf to custom build with Java/Oracle tools/SharePoint)
- Databases systems (MySQL, Oracle and MSSQL),
- IT Infrastructure in a brought sense and be familiar with multiple operating systems

PERSONAL SKILLS:

- Bachelor level or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Good communication skills, good knowledge of the English language
- Enjoy being multi skilled and being spider in the web
- Experience in a complex IT infrastructure environment
- Thinking strategically
- Influencing and persuading
