Technical Application Manager

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Medior Application Manager is part of a team of technical engineers that ensures 24/7 the availability and performance of our Internet platform and the Back Office systems. As technical hands-on experts the Application Management team is responsible to foresee or detect, to prevent or resolve all technical issues endangering the uptime of the Front Office and Back Office applications

DELIVERABLES/TASKS

- Resolve incidents and problems using our call system;
- Keep track of changes within the application, arrange the required changes to the operating system of the webservers and applications Servers;
- Apply releases, changes and updates in close cooperation with other technical or sales departments;
- Participate in projects for changing existing or implementing new functionality;
- Bring forward ideas for improvement in areas of stability and performance.
- Train and instruct the Service Desk on Technical Application troubleshooting.

SIGNIFICANT ROLE REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor (HBO) level
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with unix/linux systems.
- A minimum of 3 year SQL/PLSQL or PHP or JAVA language experience
- A minimum of 3 year Application Server experience ( Weblogic/tomcat/jboss )
- Fluent in English (word and writing)
- Preferably fluent in an additional language like Dutch, Portuguese, Spanish, Chinese, German, French
- Working according to or having knowledge of ITIL.
- Willing and able to take up on call' shifts.
