Technical Application Engineers Required - Experience with Wintel, AIX, SQL, Oracle 11g, MQ Series or TWS.

Duration: Until end of 2014 + extensions

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands

Our client is a large MNC looking for experienced Technical Application engineers to join them on a contract basis. Minimum contract until the end of 2014 plus extensions.

- New applications must be installed on a new infrastructure manually
- Several links between the application and related systems must be configured.
- The applications are then subjected to a series of tests (chain, functional, performance, component failure and disaster recovery,
- The whole is carefully documented and handed over to a management team.

Role description

- Has very thorough technical knowledge of Wintel, AIX, SQL, Oracle 11G, MQ and TWS.
- Has extensive experience with the manual installation and configuration of custom application software (supplied by third parties).
- Is able to come in complex infrastructure environments to technical solutions independently.
- Setting up environments, according to agreed service levels, so continuity and availability is optimally guaranteed.
- Is able to assess its capacity and suitability for running an application a given technical infrastructure.
- Is responsible for the regulation of services such as application monitoring, and database backup.
- Participates in multidisciplinary meetings between fellow suppliers, customers and internal suppliers.
- Have proven experience with application in a similar major client with large numbers of users, and national coverage of offices and departments.
- Regulates transfer of the application after it is furnished to the management organization at the tactical level.
- Independently performs the coordination, co-operation and consultation with the client and other stakeholders, the deployment of proposed patches and risky changes that may affect the performance and availability of the application effects.
- Enables operation manuals and technical documentation, and/or is able to review this content.
- Performs technical analyzes and solves complex faults regarding the availability of the application.
- Does the technical possibilities against the other processes within the organization

Fluent Dutch Language Skills are essential.
