Technical Analyst securities & private banking
Technical Analyst - Good knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL/knowledge of analysis and modelling tools, different platforms

ORGANISATION:
Reports to project manager and architect of the domain.

OBJECTIVE:
To deliver high-quality technical specifications, convert functional designs into technical ones and occasionally program applications in order to produce information-processing solutions that meet the needs of the business partner.

The person will have to deal with the different projects of the securities roadmap (MiFID profiles changes, Basket & simulation tool, taxes engine).

MAIN ACTIVITIES:
Analysis of the requirements
- Collects and analyses data and specifies system requirements to define or accomplish objectives.
- Applies future business partner, customer and information technology trends to contribute to the vision on the IT requirements.

CRITERIA:
Scope of responsibility:
- Responsible for approach and results of the technical analysis, design and development.
- Formulation of the technical approach for the delivery of information-processing solutions that meet often complex and conflicting business, user and system requirements.
- Coordination planning and follow-up of technical activities.
- Technical advice to other IT professionals, team members, team leaders, project leaders.
- Responsibility for the delivery of high-quality solutions as per complex, often conflicting requirements.

Know-how and complexity:
- Knowledge at Master's level or similar level based on experience.
- 5 years of work experience in an IT environment.
- Considerable knowledge of analysis and modelling tools, different platforms, methodologies, programming languages, processes or architectures, and specific knowledge of banking processes and products.
- Spoken and written English skills.
- Knowledge of procedures and standards (governance, compliance...).
- Programming Languages:

No in depth knowledge is required for each of the following programming languages (except for Java). Though the IT expert should have proven hands-on experience in some of the languages mentioned below, should understand the differences between them and should be able to advise on the selection of a programming language to build a particular solution (taking into account the already existing technology landscape/knowledge that exists within the Securities department). List of programming languages and tools: Ajax, ASP, C, C++, C#, Cobol, GWT, Java, J2EE, Javascript, JSP, PL/SQL, SQL, Unix Scripts, XML, Maven, Ant, Eclipse, SVN, JUnit, DBUnit, Spring, JPA, Selenium.
- Databases:

The IT expert should be able to advise on the design of database models. Oracle is the main Database system within Securities department. Good knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL is a requirement.
- Operating systems:

Applications run on variety of platforms. No in depth knowledge is required for the operating systems, though knowledge is a plus. List of operating systems: Linux, Unix (Sun Solaris, IBM AIX), Windows 2003
- The IT expert should be able to understand the complexity of release management. - occasional contacts with internal experts with a view to gathering information.
