Technical Analyst (Network Server Team)

Our client, a city based, Tier One Asset Manager is looking for an experienced Technical Analyst to provide technical support for Windows operating systems, VMware, Exchange and server- based applications.

Key responsibilities:

- Provide BAU technical support and fault resolution for all Windows server 2003/2008/2012 Servers and the applications thereon. Includes Production, DR and Development environments.
- Provide BAU technical support and fault resolution for Exchange (high-availability cluster). Includes Production, DR and Development environments.
- Provide BAU technical support and fault resolution for all VMware hosts (approx 30, grouped into multiple clusters). Includes Production, DR and Development environments.
- Provide 3rd Line support to the Service Desk whenever required.

Key experience:

- Strong server OS management and break-fix skills in a 99.9% uptime environment.
- Supporting critical applications running on Servers, providing technical assistance to the application support teams.
- MSCS clustering.
- Strong VMware skills ESXi 4.1 and above: Cloning, templates, managing hosts and clients, managing the applications running on the VMs.
- Working knowledge of Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp, (current or recent versions) an advantage.
- File and directory security permissioning.
- Active Directory and Group Policy management.
- Windows Server 2003/2008/2012.
