My client, a leading automotive manufacturer, based in Warwickshire, are looking to recruit a Technical Analyst to join their Vehicle Engineering division on a long-term contract basis.

Technical analyst, technical assistant, clerk, safety, vehicle, automotive, data, processing, planning, recording, mapping, engineering.

Position description:
Technical Clerk role to work in Vehicle Safety department. Based at Gaydon and occasionally at Whitley, the candidate will help with the administration of processes, process improvements, drive and coach teams to comply with processes, collate data and compile metrics, publish and maintain websites, help with parts procurement, cross-project planning, records management and digital archiving. Development and delivery of technical training materials.

Experience Required:
Very organised, logical thinker, quick to learn.
MS Office Skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and ideally SharePoint or other web authroring software.
Has initiative and ability to drive and operate business process improvements.

Education Required:
Administration skills, especially for technical subject.

Education Preferred:
Whilst no specific qualification is required, Eduction to degree level would be be valuable.
Prior experience of Vehicle Safety Engineering.
Background in Sciences, Data Handling, Process improvement.
Six Sigma and other structured problem solving methods, Process mapping.
Very clear communicator; ability to influence others.
Ability to create, manipulate and compare data.
General PC hardware and software skills.
Can project manage small projects.

Self motivation and initiative required.
This role is to provide a key support function to the Vehicle Safety team, and the candidate will be involved in a wide range of tasks.
Subject to confidence and competance of candidate, the role could expand in several ways.
It is a new position, and is expected to be long term position.
