Our client, a financial services organisation are looking to hire an experienced Technical Analyst to join their team based in Leeds on an initial 6 month contract.

There will be on call work involved in this role and the successful candidate will be required to be on standby for some out of hours work.

Role requirements

- Work with third party suppliers to ensure projects and services are delivered on time and to quality
- Manage, monitor and control internal resources to deliver project and service objectives
- Design and implement testing programmes to ensure new systems are functional before going live
- Support the initial implementation of new systems to follow up and resolve outstanding faults
- Work with line managers to clarify business requirements and agree specifications for systems solutions

SKILLS

Essential

- IBM Sterling Integrator/File Gateway
- Experience with Windows File transfer
- Connect Direct/SFTP setup and automation Scripting
- 5-6 years + relevant experience either via Systems Development route (programming, systems analysis, problem resolution.
- Good understanding of systems architecture & technology development life cycles
- Business expert: detailed knowledge of Windows technologies - including Scripting, data/server management, and file transfer methods. Must possess the ability to react to ever-changing environment, and be able to assist with production issues, involving technical analysis and outgoing communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Willing to be on call and work unsocial hours

Desirable

- Experience working in the banking industry
- Presentation, negotiationuse of structured, formal methods (Prince 2, LEAN)
