Technical Advisor - Subsea Systems, Houston

The Technical Advisor position is shore-based, however some trips to the rigs offshore will be required. You will not only be providing operational subsea support, but also developing the company's subsea operations standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities include:

· Assist Business Units with technical issues by providing direct technical/troubleshooting support to Operations, Asset Management, Subsea Superintendents, our rigs, and our clients.
· Collaborate with the Corporate Subsea Engineering group to ensure that equipment maintenance routines adequately prescribe thorough requirements based on OEM recommendation, industry best practices, and lessons learned.
· Collaborate with BU Asset Management to ensure consistent compliance with periodic maintenance requirements.
· Develop operating standards for all well control and subsea systems equipment.
· Validate work instructions related to critical subsea operations and regularly audit work. instructions created by rig personnel for routine task's ensuring content, compliance with company standards/procedures, and consistency of processes.
· Support BU Asset Management with long term maintenance planning for marine riser and well control equipment in terms of consistency, organization, and compliance with regulatory, API, and company standards.
· Actively participate in equipment failure investigations, ensure lesson sharing amongst business units and rigs, and follow up/execution on approved REA's and vendor bulletins.
· Support BU issues with vendors to solve outstanding issues associated with unplanned events and equipment complaints, equipment deliveries, repairs, parts/service, and bulletins.
· Routinely travel between business units and rigs to verify adherence to corporate technical and operational subsea standards, equipment certifications, and document/data control and retention.

To be Eligible for consideration, you must have:

* US Work Authorization
* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
* 10+ years of industry-related experience
