Technical Administrative Officer

Our Perth based client requires a Technical Administration Officer to join their busy existing team. This is a 2 year fixed term contract leading to a permanent position.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work closely with the Computer Service Manager assisting with procurement, contract management, billing and asset management of mobile devices (data and telephony) within the organisation. IT technical understanding is a must!

In the role you will assist with the Computing Services Manager and users with the procurement, contract management, software licensing, billing and asset management of mobile devices (data and telephony as per the PTA standards) within the PTA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Purchasing all IT goods and services relating to mobile devices, software and applications for the organisation
- Coordinating mobile carrier contracts and calling for quotes for goods and services
- Asset management relating to mobile devices (telephony and data) and maintaining the asset management register
- Managing all software licensing issues
- Scheduling the outsourcing of faulty equipment and maintaining warranty information
- Providing assistance to users with respect to set up and installation relating to mobile devices
- Remedying basic faults affecting the operation of mobile devices

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

CONSIDERABLE KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE IN:

- Purchasing policies and regulations
- IT Asset management and maintaining an asset database
- Software licensing models
- IT systems and terminology
- Installation of hardware and software packages
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Able to work on other assignments if necessary
- Highly developed computer literacy skills and ability to learn new software quickly
