A major operator is currently searching for an experienced Oil & Gas Technical writer to work on a special project for their Gulf of Mexico project. This is a one year contract with opportunity for an extension on a year to year basis. The technical writer will be interviewing Well Site Leaders, Drilling Engineers, and others who work on offshore/deepwater rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. The Technical Writer will then challenge and question the interviewees on topics such as safety or standard operating procedure if a discrepancy or issue is detected. At the end, a manual will be created to be used as reference for new and current rig workers.
