Team Managers (Casework)

Eingestellt von Financial Ombundsman Service

Gesuchte Skills: Support

team managers - London docklands - full time - three year, fixed term contract

Are you the sort of team manager that can set a vision for your team - engaging and inspiring while also making sure the day job gets done? Can you strike the balance between management and leadership? As a Sunday Times Top 100 not-for-profit organisation, our people are very important to us. And you'll play a key role in leading those at the very heart of what we do to make a positive difference in society.

We're the Financial Ombudsman Service - an independent organisation set up to sort out disputes between financial services businesses and their customers. We're here to act fairly, reasonably and impartially. So when a consumer has a complaint that they can't settle with the business, they can come to us - and one of our adjudicators will look into the case.

As a team manager, you'll lead and develop a team of 10 to 12 adjudicators in a product or service area such as banking, insurance or payment protection insurance. Supporting you in this will be our expert ombudsmen and often specialists in your team.

What sort of skills are we looking for from you? Well, you'll need fantastic leadership and coaching abilities. Your team will have a range of knowledge and skills - and what they achieve will ultimately be your responsibility, so you'll thrive on coaching them as individuals and as a group.

You'll also know how to keep your team engaged and enthusiastic. And you'll be excellent at sharing your knowledge to make sure we're always improving and giving our customers the outstanding service they need from us. So experience of managing a team that gives excellent customer service is a must.

Our values are central to the way we work - and work together. So you'll need to be someone who believes in doing the right thing, respects the needs of your customers and does what you say you'll do.

And what will we give you return? On top of the starting salary and standard benefits including a generous non-contributory pension, you can also choose the flexible benefits that best suit you and your life. You'll also get to shape people's futures as you bring about positive change and performance improvement. And you'll have the chance to be an inspirational leader in an organisation that's of huge importance - as we change lives by sorting out problems for millions of people.

When we recruit, we actively look for people from a wide range of backgrounds because we want our people to reflect the diversity of those whose complaints we settle. This keeps us in touch and connected - and able to see both sides of every story. We also do our very best to support those who need us to adapt to their circumstances - whether it's our people, customers or job applicants.

So if you think your style of leading can light up a team, we'd love to hear from you. Please "apply now" to read the job description and send us your CV and a letter telling us:
