This local Council needs a ambitious and determined Team manager Qualified Social worker to join their team as a locum. The role is a particularly challenging appointment, in which you will be working in a Children & Families team. Specialising in Referral & Assessment and safeguarding you would be expected to carry out initial appraisals, some child protection work and making referrals to other appropriate social services teams. The right candidate be expected to visit the home and involve the child in the interview, as well as other external organisations where appropriate. Excellent knowledge of the Children Act 1989 is a must, with specific experience of section 17 and section 47 assessments. .

You must have a DipSW or a Degree in Social Care, a current CRB and be registered with the HCPC.
