Team Manager - Fostering & Adoption

We require an experienced Fostering & Adoption Team Manager - Full time Interim role: To manage and lead the Fostering & AdoptionTeam. The post holder will supervise a team of social workers and other staff delivering statutory services and retain accountability for the management of cases so that the best outcomes for children are achieved. The post holder will effectively lead and develop a team of staff in such a way as to retain staff and achieve both short and medium term business objectives & performance targets. They will undertake professional supervision of staff to ensure effective decision making on cases and professional development through reflective practice. The post holder will continuously monitor cases through auditing and use of management information so that quality and performance standards are met and will decide when cases should be closed or referred to other agencies in line with standard thresholds and procedures, so that children and families receive the services appropriate to their needs and the Council's statutory obligations.
Candidates must be an experienced Team Manager - a management qualification would be ideal, HCPC registered, a qualified social worker with relevant fostering and adoption experience. Candidates must be a car driver.

Requirements:
You must have significant experience of fostering & Adoption
You must have strong management/ supervisory experience within fostering & Adoption
You must have excellent leadership ability
You must have experience of providing reflective professional supervision to social work staff or students
You must be experienced in budget management and being able to ensure the best value.
You must have an understanding of relevant legislation including fostering standards and the Children's Act.
You must be HCPC registered
You must be able to effectively manage organisational change
You must have excellent problem solving and negotiation skills
You must be flexible, able to work deadlines and be able to work in a pressurised, fast paced environment
You must also have excellent communication skills
You must be willing to undergo or have undergone an enhanced DBS check
You must be a car driver
