One of the world's leading manufacturers, home to a raft of household names, is immediately recruiting for a Team Leader to work within the Materials Characterisation Section

Key Deliverables would include:

* Delivering timely and high quality analysis to internal customers across the organisation
* Acting as an expert within the characterisation area
* Assisting the manager in building and developing an effective team that meets targets in a safe manner
* Proposing and delivering new methods/techniques
* Ensuring the laboratory and equipment are maintained to a high standard.
* Establishing effective working relationships with your team's customers so that their needs are best met.

Experience Required:

- strong people management
- strong material science background
- experience of working in materials testing environment
- broad knowledge of physical charactersiation techniques such as microscopy, thermal methods, rheology and mechanical testing
- strong communication skills
- strong organisation skills

The successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent in Chemistry or a related Physical Science and have a strong background using analytical chemistry techniques such as microscopy and rheology. You will have previously managed a team within an analytical chemistry lab and be a proven problem solver.
