Business Analyst/Senior Business Analyst/Lead Business Analyst

A vacancy has arisen for a Senior Business Analyst/Team Leader based in Bedfordshire. The principle purpose of this role is to lead a multi-disciplined team of analysts to ensure our client's software meets the needs of our customers and the wider market.

Responsibilities:
* Ensuring that business needs are met in terms of current and future IT requirements
* Demonstrate and promote the Scrum methodology and Agile working ethos
* Participating in the production of scoping documents and plans for Business/IT projects.
* Definition, documentation and agreement of Business Processes at all levels, for both internal and external projects
* Defining Business Requirements - consider current performance against targeted performance and propose changes required to current processes and/or IT Systems to meet targets.
* Resolve any performance related issues in and effectively and timely way
* Participating in evaluation of packaged solutions and take a leading role in implementing them.
* Supporting other aspects of the internal development team, this may include Project Managers, Programmers, Business Analysts and Test Analysts as well as 3rd party suppliers.

Core skills:
* Proven experience in Business Analysis
* Excellent analytical skills and the ability to look at problem logically
* Working knowledge of User stories and UML
* Knowledge and experience of the complete development lifecycle
* Understanding of Client Server and Web based applications
* Ability to query Databases and work with XML
* Well developed communications skills (written, oral and presentational), analytical organisational and workshop facilitation skills
* Experience of working in a Prince2 or similar Project Management environment
