TEAM LEADER - REMEDIATION

A brand new vacancy has arisen for a Compliance/remediation team leader. This has become available In order to respond to both the strategic approach to risk management and the increasing complexity of the regulatory environment.

As a Remediation Team Leader, you will be using both technical expertise and people management skills in order to deliver your part of our anti-money laundering (AML) programme remediation plan. Acting as a central source of regulatory knowledge, you will be leading and supporting your team of remediation case handlers, controlling their day-to-day performance, productivity, standard of output and activity, and providing objective feedback on their performance, identifying and addressing learning and development needs.

As the technical expert, you will be providing support and specialist advice to your 'clients' (ie the frontline staff) relating to the end-to-end business process focussing on due diligence, KYC and AML, and also ensuring accounts a remediated in compliance with any regulations and policies. This could mean you need to be able to analyse ownership structures and contractual relationships of complex and layered entities or review documentation for different jurisdictions and use other tools to identify additional information required or potential high risk clients.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

- Prior people management experience
- Experience in a previous role in an anti-money laundering (AML) environment
- Expertise in due diligence, KYC and AML
- Strong capability in building effective relationships
- A sound grounding in operational processes, procedures and systems
- Experience in business planning, such as budget and resources
