Team Leader of Schools

We are currently recruiting for a Team Leader of Schools and Inspire Tutor to work on a contract in a Further Education college in Nuneaton, North Warwickshire. For the right candidate, this position could become a permanent role.

We require an experience tutor who has previous experience of working on the Inspire or the Nova Programme to work on a programme in a post 16 Further Education College. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with challenging students involving a range of different behavioural issues. The candidate will need a fully valid teaching qualification and will be able to demonstrate a background involve continuous professional development involving students with challenging behaviour.

Other responsibilities will include:_
To assist co-ordination and development of programmes for delivery and assessment for all learners.
 To plan, prepare and deliver appropriate programmes on site in the schools teams e.g. reflective tutorial.
 To liaise with internal colleagues as appropriate.
 To liaise with external contacts and agencies as appropriate e.g. schools.
 To lead staff within the team, assisting with appraisals, probationary reviews, identification of objectives and targets.
 To lead staff within the team to ensure quality delivery, and assessment of theoretical and practical sessions.
 To assist in with curriculum planning and timetabling of staff, including cover.
 To contribute to the self assessment process, with managing programme the reviews and that they are completed in a timely manner.
 To support learners behaviour and deployment of support/disciplinary processes.
 To supervise support staff in the area as appropriate.
 To assist in ensuring quality assurance processes are in place, monitored and maintained, liaising appropriately with examining bodies
 To deputise for the Schools Manager.

To be considered for this position, we require a candidate who holds a fully enhanced DBS check and have previous experience of working in a Further Education setting. Candidates will also be able to demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development, good written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to work in a timely and effective manner.
