JOB DESCRIPTION
The appropriate candidate will be incorporated into a large IT development team responsible for the design, the analysis, the development and the testing of trans-European applications on behalf of European Institutions. He/she will be responsible for the relationships with the customer regarding IT applications and the management of a team. He/she will also be responsible for the production and maintenance of specifications related to these applications.
This position requires regular short missions (less than one week) in Europe, mostly in Brussels.
TASKS
- Management of the customer relationship
- Management of the specifications and development team
- Planning and team capacity management
- Participation in and follow-up of the functional requirements, specifications, application architecture definition, coding and testing.
- Reporting to the customer and the company management
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Master in Computer Science or other relevant field (ie Engineering)
- Minimum 8 years in IT and at least 6 years working as Java/JEE Analyst-Programmer and 2 years as team leader
- Java/JEE (minimum 6 years)
- Relational database, preferably Oracle RDBMS and basic knowledge of PL/SQL
- Very good command of the English language (written and verbal)
- Ability to travel abroad (short missions)
DESIRED SKILLS
- Working experience as a Team Leader
- Working experience in large and complex information systems
- Knowledge of French language is an asset
PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
- Sound technical skills and analytical thinking
- Team worker and ability to integrate large international teams
- Good communication skills
