MAKING A LASTING DIFFERENCE TO LIVES AND COMMUNITIES': CONTINUE THE TRANSFORMATION!

Salary: £29,070 to £30,600

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location: Croydon

We provide a range of supported housing services for almost 500 homeless people in Croydon and Lambeth. Over the last five years, we've transformed most of our properties through a £25m redevelopment programme, so that those living in them have a better chance to turn their lives around and live independently.

The Keystone project is a 10 bed abstinence based hostel for people in recovery from alcohol or drug misuse. The project provides a structured and supportive 6 month rehabilitation and recovery programme as well as a non residential 12 week programme, with access to a team of volunteer counselors. A second stage project has 13 beds for move on once those in the initial service have completed the 6 month programme. The service has a staff team of three Support Workers and a Therapeutic Lead, all of whom assist to deliver the group work programme and have experience of counseling.

You will need the right blend of personal, leadership and communication skills, be a decision maker with knowledge and experience of working with a vulnerable client group and leading teams in service delivery, being able to motivate staff to continuously strive for improvements to the service.

This demanding role requires experience in the therapeutic field as well as experience of housing management including rental income and managing building based services. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a unique service in the borough of Croydon and to expand our existing Day Programme and Volunteer Counseling Service.

This role will have access to South London YMCA's Management Development Programme.

We offer excellent benefits and conditions, including 26 days annual leave, free life assurance, occupational sick pay, flexi-time and group pension scheme.

South London YMCA is an equal opportunities employer and encourages applications from all sections of the community including people who have experienced homelessness.
