Team Lead SMC

JOB DESCRIPTION

- Management of the 1e en 2e line security operations employees.
- Maintain contacts with stakeholders, mainly;
- Operational management and consulting with customers own 3e line support organization.
- Counselling of customer specific security organization.
- Counselling of dedicated country specific security managers
- Counselling of CSIRT organisation
- Proven experience in Security Information Event Management (SIEM).
- Proven experience in Security Operations Centre (SOC)
- Knowledgeable on IT environments from Infrastructure to application layer.

Security Monitoring Centre is responsible for monitoring security alerts that represent potential local and group-wide threats. These alerts are generated by an additional level of correlation of alerts produced by SIEM solutions catering individual business areas.

As a Team Leader you will be responsible for supporting the Security Monitoring Centre (SMC) by ensuring the correct resourcing and maintaining operational performance.

You will be contributing towards providing enhanced visibility to the security posture of Group's IT infrastructure.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Strong leader/people manager
- Strong experience in security management.
- Good analytic skills
- Able to alleviate the impact of security issues quickly and guide the organization to the final solution for the incident.
- Language skills;
- English - Mandatory. English is the leading language.
- French and Dutch are a plus.
- Living near Brussels is a plus.
- Experience in the financial sector and/or insurance is a plus.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks will include (but are not limited to):

- Manage day to day operations
- Manage operational capabilities/resources
- Oversee Daily Analyst Activity for reporting and measurement
- Identifying training and development gaps
- Reporting and Measuring operational performance
- Quality checking operations
- Identify gaps in operations
- Devising Process Improvements
- Liaison and single point of contact with client and internal departments (G-SMC engineering,      G-SMC management, I&O departments, )
- G-SMC client SLA reporting for the standard existing and approved SLAs and reporting      standards as per the Standard Operational Procedure
- Maintaining operational documentation
- ITIL Certification
- Deep understanding of Information Security concepts, ranging from technicals to conceptuals
- Good verbal and written communication (English);
- Prior experience of IT security incident handling and analysis using ArcSight SIEM tool; Prior      experience of working in process oriented organisation; Prior experience in a team leader role in the network security field.
- General knowledge of financial industry regulatory requirements

Passion and drive to work in start-up division with potential of significant growth in scope and services

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

Possession of following skills/certifications will be an added advantage:

- Security product certification such as CCSA/SE (Checkpoint Certified Security      Administrator/Engineer);
- Experience with security device installations, configuration and troubleshooting (eg, Firewall, IDS, etc.)
- SANS GIAC Certified Incident Handler or equivalent. OR
- CISSP Certification; OR
- ITIL
