Scope of Work:

The selected candidate will be responsible for Team Lead and supporting field engineers in installation, management and limited commissioning of network installation projects, including maintaining electronic records (ie ETS, Atlas. email coordination, on operators' network), in switch room, regen, and PoP site environments.

The Team Lead Must understand and follow detailed method of procedures (MOPS) and Safety MTCE Window requirements. Duties include but are not limited to installing, removing bays, shelves and circuit card assemblies from a wide variety of manufactures, installing, removing overhead cable racks as well as running and lacing Ethernet, fiber, and power cabling to include termination and testing. STL will be required to provide their own basic tool kit for installation of switching, optical and data products - All required calibrated tools will be provided by OEM. STL will be required to provide their own windows compatible laptop and printer required to print emails, engineering documents and project files.

Requirements:
In-depth knowledge of Wireline/wireless equipment installation and testing methods and procedures (MOPs). In-depth knowledge of operating principles of Wireline, wireless and RF environments. Ability to interpret and perform tasks outlined in MOPs, vendor documentation, technical specifications, network practices, engineering letters and job aids. Knowledge of telephony networks, include DS1, DS3, OC, and various IP Networks. Ability to identify all colors associated with telecommunications cable and equipment indicator lights. Dexterity to connect and disconnect various sizes and types of electronic connectors. Ability to work in overhead rack or grid for extended periods of time pulling long lengths of heavy cables. Ability to work outside of normal business hours, (ie.shift work) as dictated by project requirements.
