Team Lead - Electronic Specimen Management

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Leads a team to craft business requirements for the design of upstream elements of the Biospecimen Management & Workflow System.
- Uses understanding of protocol set up for various types of trials, the specimen management plan (oversight document), and characteristics of the vendor statement of work, to determine which elements need to be represented electronically within the Biospecimen Management & Workflow System to ensure that the system is designed properly to manage specimen quality and compliance.

SKILLS

Experience with clinical study design, both early and late phase needed. Must have experience working with clinical vendors - central labs, analytical labs, and storage facilities. Must have a good understanding of what is required for quality specimen management in clinical trials and measures necessary for compliance. Good communication skills, organization skills, and ability to bring large disparate team to consensus required. Must have experience collecting requirements and understanding what types of reports are needed to make study management and specimen management function effectively and efficiently. Must have experience with effectively developing and using project timelines, as well as with Vendor Management.
