The Head teacher of a Primary School in the Dukinfield area of Tameside wants a talented graduate with teaching assistant experience to cover a maternity leave. This role will be on a full time basis, working in a Year 3 class with around 30 pupils of varying levels of ability. You will offer support to the teacher and pupils, on a one-to-one basis and sometimes with small groups.

This is a well maintained Primary School, with a reputation for giving children a good standard of education across both key stages. The governors are proud of teaching in School and support staff with good, modern and up-to date facilities to ensure things can continue to improve.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will have a variety of responsibilities throughout your day. The class teacher is organised and will give support for this role when needed, any previous experience in a classroom is desirable but not essential.

Located in the Dukinfield area of Tameside, this is an average sized Primary School with around 260 pupils on roll. There is a lower than average number of pupils with special educational needs and the majority of pupils are from a white British heritage. Last graded as good by Ofsted, this is an exciting opportunity for a graduate with a passion for working with children.

To be successful, you must be available on a full time basis until the end of the current academic year in July 2013. All graduates are welcome to apply and those who are successful will be contacted to discuss further details and to arrange an interview.

To apply for this role, you will need to send an up to date CV through to Edustaff as soon as possible. Please list all academic achievements and any relevant experience that will support your application.
