This is a permanent role, teaching Key Stage 3, 4 & 5 in a mixed Comprehensive in Birmingham.

Would you be interested in taking up a permanent contract in a Mixed Comprehensive school located in Birmingham? The school caters for students from wide ranging and diverse backgrounds which creates a lively and vibrant school atmosphere. You will be responsible for teaching Mathematics across KS3, KS4 & KS5, including taking GCSE and A-Level groups. The school has a mixture of abilities so again you must be a detailed and careful planner to ensure that each student can maximise their potential. The school has an excellent senior management team that enforces a whole school attitude to every aspect of school life ranging from uniform to behaviour.

The school is a smaller-than-average comprehensive school serving the community of Sparkhill. The proportion of students known to be eligible for free school meals is well above average. Almost all of the school population come from minority ethnic backgrounds including Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Yemeni and Somali heritages and most speak English as an additional language. The proportion of students with special educational needs and/ or disabilities is well above average. The school was awarded specialist sports status in 2000. The school has gained the International School Award (intermediate) and has Healthy Schools status. It has also been accredited as an Investor in People. The school is fully accessible and makes special provision for 10 physically disabled learners managed by the local authority.
