Tax Manager

My client a leading energy provider in the UK currently has an excellent opportunity for a Tax Manager. A Tax Manager/Director is required to provide expertise within the VAT arena. You will advise key functions/stakeholders on the indirect tax implications of any policies, propositions about to be implemented and providing solutions to areas of conflict.

As a Tax Manager you will also be responsible for supporting and advising the indirect tax team to ensure the UK group remains compliant with existing and impending tax legislation. You shall provide proactive tax advice to business propositions, restructuring and refinancing to ensure no tax leakage. Minimise indirect tax risks and payments by keeping up to speed with the latest fiscal changes as well as leading and implementing changes to the business/systems where necessary.

The person required should have the following experience:

- A proven track record at a Managerial level with a high level of understanding of indirect tax (preferable in the energy industry)
- Ability to work flexibly, independently and to tight deadlines;
- Excellent communication skills
- An analytical and commercial approach.
