Tax Consultant

My client a leading American investment bank is seeking a Tax Consultant to join them on an initial 3 month contract. The successful client will in addition to professional qualifications (eg in tax, law, accounting etc.) demonstrate a high level of stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities:

- Reviewing documents related to loans and loan related products.
- Advising colleagues in the business, legal and credit in regard to any tax related matters.
- Developing knowledge of relevant international tax regimes and regulations related to the loan product.
- Escalating to appropriate stakeholders if any tax risks are detected.
- Negotiating with external stakeholders.

On the job training will be offered to the successful candidate. HOWEVER, THEY MUST DEMONSTRATE A RELEVANT PROFESSIONAL SPECIALISM, FOR EXAMPLE IN TAX, LAW, ACCOUNTING ETC.

Requirements:

- The successful mUST be professionally qualified.
- Excellent stakeholder are a prerequisite - an understanding of tax will be provided through on the job training, however it is vital that the role holder can demonstrate a personable and effective professional manner.
- The role-holder will be able to communicate tax issues to non tax personal in a cogent manner.
- A working knowledge of FATCA and VAT is desirable but isn't essential.
- A language other than English isn't essential but is desirable.
