Tax Compliance Accountant

TAX COMPLIANCE ACCOUNTANT - STATUTORY ACCOUNTS, TAX, GAP VERSION, FRS101, AUDITING, ACA/ACCA

Our client is looking for a Compliance accountant to join their Central London based team. This is a contract role that has a 6 month duration.

PROJECT SUMMARY AND POSITION OVERVIEW:

The role is within the Global Compliance Controllership Team. The team is responsible for

standardising and optimising how the company complies with and executes local statutory and tax requirements. This role relates primarily to statutory accounts

- Producing ad hoc reports & metrics.
- Assist VAT and corporate tax compliance processes
- Supporting the close accounting for corporate and non trading companies.
- Issue investigation and resolution.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Typically the candidate would be Part-qualified ACA/ACCA. Relevant industry experience will also be considered.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Experience in UK GAAP & UK statutory accounts preparation. Ideally also experienced in IFRS accounts preparation.
- Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Word & excel.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- High drive for results.
- Attention to detail. Highly organized, good interpersonal skills, good verbal and written communications skills.

DESIRED SKILLS:

- Experience in SAP or other enterprise accounting software (not Sage, mybooks etc).
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Previous experience in working with auditors.
- Experience in large multinational corporations.
