Tax Accountant/Analyst - Compliance, CIT, VAT, General Ledger), Bank, Brussels

Objective: As an Accountant to support on tax compliance (corporate income tax, CIT & VAT) tasks & General Ledger

Tasks: You will be joining the Financial Division and be part of Record to Report Team (ie. general ledger) in the Group Accounting Services (GAS) department. You will be responsible for the following general ledger & tax compliance processes, for different entities within the bank:
Assistance to the tax analyst on the following operational tax compliance processes: corporate income tax accruals, VAT & Corporate tax return data preparation
various general ledger accounting tasks (financial month-end closing);
Ensure that the balance sheet and profit and loss accounts are coherent and properly reconciled;
Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounting journal entries;
Support the tax analyst to prepare various tax returns by required deadlines. Perform the necessary data quality checks before sending information to external parties.
Support the tax analyst with the preparation and review of CIT/VAT returns, CIT/VAT audits and CIT/VAT accruals by required deadlines of entities of the group in different countries.
- Continuous improvement projects (internal control framework, new tools, etc).

Skills: Graduate in accounting (& tax) with a few years of experience (general ledger

Essential: Knowledge of Belgian tax rules
MS-Excel, knowledge of accounting principles, experience in using an integrated ERP system, preferably Oracle.
Language: English.
