LOCATION: Milton Keynes

WORKING HOURS: Full Time - 37.5 Hours per week - Monday - Friday

THE ROLE: Tailoring Team Leader

Our client is a high end fashion retailer who specialise in men's formal wear. They have flagship branches in London, Paris and New York including a large online presence. As part of their vision to provide their customers with the finest menswear in the world, they offer a bespoke tailoring service to their customers.

They are currently looking to recruit a Tailoring Team leader for a 12 month maternity cover contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a tailoring specialist to further develop their career within a leading men's fashion retailer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:- - Plan, monitor and report the workload of the department on a day to day basis.
- Coach individuals to ensure performance and quality is maintained.
- Maintaining a safe working environment adhering to all relevant company H&S regulations.
- Act as the first point of contact for queries raised within the team.
- Develop and maintain a good working relationship with relevant business teams.
- Work closely with the Tailoring Manager and other team leaders to ensure smooth running of department.
- Support all other areas of the DC operation as required.

THE CANDIDATE: Our client is looking for a motivational leader with previous knowledge of the tailoring industry.

KEY EXPERIENCE/ CHARACTERISTICS PREFERRED FOR THE ROLE:- - A broad understanding of the functions of a team of a tailoring department e.g. hemming, attaching pockets, sleeve adjustments.
- Previous experience leading a team of people
- A confident and professional attitude.
- Able to remain calm while working under pressure.
- IT literate including competent use of Word and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to use initiative to question and innovate.
- Must have previous supervisory experience.
