Development Engineer
Job Description
We are looking for an application engineer to enhance and upgrade our technical access management environment. This environment consist of a TACACs set-up with a centrally managed database and distributed local AAA service points. Our current systems uses its own user and rights database, and has a custom developed web interface for administration.
We want to evolve to a system that:
Supports both TACACs and Radius for authentication on network and security devices
Integrates with our (existing) Active Directory, both for user authentication and for group management
Integrates with our CMDB for managing and grouping devices
Uses a Back End database, preferably Oracle
Has a secure management interface to link CMDB info to AD/LDAP
Securely logs all TACACS/Radius related events and allows for data analysis and reporting
Works in a distributed (proxied) environment.
Is well documented, flexible and adaptable to new requirements.
We expect the engineer to work both on the requirements and technical analysis as well as the implementation of the system.
Technical Skills
The development engineer needs to have:
Experience in implementing & customising a TACACS/Radius access management system
Excellent knowledge of Radius and TACACs protocols, setting up a TACACS/Radius management system and best secure Practices for TACACS/Radius
Experience in adapting/integrating TACACS/Radius with LDAP and Active Directory.
Good working knowledge of (Redhat) Linux & development for Linux
Knowledge of database design and implementation, preferably Oracle
Knowledge of Perl, Java, web development
Analysis and documentation skills as well as programming and implementation experience.
Non-technical
Language: Dutch, French, English at least 1, preferably English
Able to work independently & as part of a team
Flexible able to work around roadblocks if required, but always keeping the target in sight.
Good communication skills
Able to deliver work of high quality
