Role

Our client is seeking a Tableau BI with SQL Server Consultant to work on a MIGRATION project in Geneva, Switzerland.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Review existing Tableau platform and the developments
- Review Tableau integration with other ERP or customized applications
- Design and Development of a new Data Warehouse, replacing an aging solution
- Assist and monitor project teams with the writing of detailed functional and technical specifications
- Support and maintenance of the Tableau solution installed
- Monitoring of developments and integrations, mapping of the data used
- Monitoring of SQL flows to/from Tableau,
- Creation and maintenance of datamarts and security management
- Control, optimization and maintenance of SSIS packages
- Study of the current Data Warehouse environment in order to allow a MIGRATION to a Microsoft solution
- Optimization of BI developments to meet strong performance requirements (WAN with degraded VSAT or ADSL connections)
- Maintenance and support documentation, and participation in technical architecture and industrialization meetings

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

- Expert in Tableau, at the level of installation/parameterization, as well as development, integration and dissemination of reports.
- SQL Server 2008/2012 and +
- Experience in L3 operation of a Data Warehouse and the provision of DataMarts and ODS
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2008/2012 environments
- Use of Microsoft Windows 8.1 and Microsoft Office 2013 tools
- Certified or trained to ITIL requirements or equivalent, able to conduct and follow operations within a defined framework, and to prepare any documentation or procedure to be followed allowing the L2 to meet the requirements encountered in an international company

NICE TO HAVE:

- SSIS and SSAS, SSRS
- Knowledge of Microsoft TFS 2013
- Casewise or any other application mapping software

CONTRACT

The contract duration is for 11 months initially with likelihood of extension.
