T24 UNIX Support Engineer required for a fantastic 24 month contract based in London working for a large financial institution.

As the T24 UNIX Support Engineer you will be required to independently manage a Level 2 Production Support team for my client.

As the T24 UNIX Support Engineer you must be familiar with Clearing and Settlement Back Office functions, work flows etc for my client. The Candidate is expected to have T24 (Temenos) product knowledge & be expert operational knowledge of Industry Standard practices like ITIL and have a general awareness in Financial Regulatory requirements for Investment Banks in Europe. Candidate should be comfortable in a range of technologies primarily in UNIX, Jbase.

Key tasks and responsibilities include:

Operations IT Production Service exception management from Dell perspective
Responsible for Service Change management and scope management
Owns Knowledge management for the Project

The role is to primarily manage and drive release management activities, continuous service improvement (CIP) and provide technical support solutions to the project.

*Plan and manage the all types of Release
*Achieve Production Readiness for Change Implementation
*Own post release production defects
*Manage application Commission/Decommission & End-of-Life Activities
*BCP Test planning and co-ordination
*Infrastructure Weekend planning and co-ordination
*Communicate Weekly change calendar and status to stakeholder
*Plan Capacity Management and Availability Management
*Own Securities project within JIRA tool.
*Continuous Service Improvements

Required Skills

*University degree with experience in supporting UNIX based applications.
*Good written and spoken English, able to articulate to Operation users and Business.
*Strong analytical and logical skills
*Well verse in agile methodology.
*Solid understanding of ITIL process. ITIL version 3 certification is mandatory
*Candidate to have Investment banking experience. Preferably Capital markets- Back Office operations
*Team work, ability to contribute to and work in a team, as well as at times step up and lead a number of people when handling problems or incidents
*Strong inter-personal skills, capable of writing/contributing to technical knowledge articles
*Ability to distil work into discreet packages for execution by other team members
*Independent problem solving skills and effective time management
