T-SQL DEVELOPER/SYBASE DATABASE DEVELOPER - INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT - CITY

Our client is a leading global Investment Institution who are looking for a T-SQL (Sybase) Database Developer with Fund Management systems experience for an in house systems project.

The role will develop the system and its modules to deliver business functionality, whilst adhering to group coding standards. Whilst most work will be project or enhancement focused, there will be some involvement in support and provision of fixes, as required.

The successful candidate will have worked in a development role, within an Asset Management business working with Transact-SQL in developing Stored Procedures, for which significant recent experience must be demonstrated. Use of temporary tables, nested stored procedures, performance tuning. 

Working with Performance data or Performance systems such as BiSam, FactSet or StatPro would be extremely beneficial.

You will ideally have exposure to tools such as Aqua Data Studio (or similar), experience of full life cycle development activity to include:

- Analysis and the production of technical specifications using Use Cases, sequence & activity diagrams, etc
- Creation and implementation of unit test (regression) scripts
- Support of quality assurance and user acceptance test cycles
- Deployment through structured environments for development, integration, quality assurance, user acceptance, production and disaster recovery

Any exposure to Crystal Reports, Excel VBA, UML, JIRA, Confluence, Maven 3 and working within a Continuous Integration environment would be beneficial but not essential.
