Systems Support Analyst - Unix / ZFS / Zones Specialist

A media client based in the heart ofLondon, urgently seeks a Systems Support Analyst on 6-12 months contract.

Ideally, we are looking for someone with media/publishing background, however if you have ZFS and Zones experience, you CV will still be considered.

Key responsibilities:

* Systems administration and support of website infrastructure

* Ensure systems are configured to achieve maximum uptime, performance and availability

* Build, deploy, upgrade and maintain hardware, OS and application servers

* Foster good working relationships with Application Support and Development teams

* Maintain good working relationships with our suppliers

* Create and maintain documentation and diagrams

* Keep abreast of new IT technology

* Monitor and implement IT security policies

* Maximise system performance and availability

* Ability to handle and prioritise high workloads

Experience required:

* You should have 4 to 8 years experience in an IT support /webmaster capacity with a demonstrated specialism in Solaris.

* A new media / internet industry background would be helpful

* Operating Systems

* Solaris 10 (essential) - including zones / LDOMS / ZFS / jumpstart / SMF

Desirable

* Linux (Desirable)

* Windows 200x (Desirable)

* Desktop - Windows 7/XP, Mac OS X (Desirable)
