The Solutions Architectis a business and technical leadership position responsible for the delivery of top program initiatives that involve the provisioning of data for complex data applications and services. Understand, advocate and augment the principles of information technology strategies. Analyze the IT environment to detect critical deficiencies, and recommend solutions for improvement. Promote the governance activities associated with ensuring data architecture compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Act as Subject Matter Expert in a broad range of technologies including data warehousing, business intelligence, ETL, Hadoop, meta data management, master data management, data security
- Technical ownership of projects to ensure the vision is being delivered upon
- Contribute and implement new ideas that lead to a more cost effective operation
- Advance the methodologies used internally for the delivery of client solutions
- Understand a clients business application(s) and how they support the company
- Establish and maintain strong internal relationships with the organizations involved in delivering and supporting services for clients
- Work with Project Manager to ensure efficient and consistent project delivery
- Assist the organization in identifying and creating new technology opportunities
- Work as part of a committee to create new methodologies, standards and deliverables
- Identify process improvements for internal and cross organizational groups
- Communicate effectively with peers, superiors and subordinates:
- Effectively communicate technology and strategy recommendations/decisions to clients.
- Ability to gauge an audience and speak at appropriate levels
- Ability to put complex concepts in a clear and concise form
- Delivery of presentations to both small and large groups
- Provide thought leadership
- Act as an escalation point for client and internal issues, effectively and positively communicating the issue and resources or actions required to resolve it
- Become a subject matter expert in enterprise data provisioning and revenue generating business applications

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Competency in two or more technical areas: business process reengineering, platform architecture, data architecture, software development, UML Modeling, data integration
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience and technical design experience
- Exceptional communications capabilities, including leveraging other people, giving presentations and speaking comfortably with a senior client audience
- Possess initiative and the ability to work in a self-directed manner
- Takes accountability for problems or failures, responsible for own actions, demonstrating strong ethics and integrity, and practices consistent follow-through
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, ability to analyze and identify changes in trends
- Ability to set priorities and meet obligations in a timely manner
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Bachelor of Science in one of the following: Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering
- Masters in one of the following preferred but not required: Engineering, Business Administration

- ETL environments, 7 years
