Systems Safety Engineer (SLS), Aberdeen

Systems Safety Engineer Key Responsibilities: * Assume primary support role for Pro-Safe SLS safety control systems primarily hardwired but also ProSafe RS programmable where required (including 24 hour call out rota) * Assist senior personnel in developing / maintaining all necessary procedures & documentation associated with IEC61508/61511 certification. * To assist in technical preparation and review of quotations for safety system support, modifications and projects. * To assist with Training when requested, and to ensure full conversancy with the latest versions of Safety Shutdown. * Plan and control allocated work within time and budget constraints. * Develop customer awareness of Yokogawa safety engineering capabilities. * Maintain a medical/survival registration for offshore working * To offer technical help to customers both external and internal. * To assist with the design, installation and commissioning of systems in conjunction with the commissioning team. * To assist in the maintenance of the demonstration equipment and customer training equipment. * Whilst the role calls for an emphasis on safety, it is expected that a full and flexible approach will be adopted for all Technical Engineering requirements. * To update the Technical supervisor on all relevant matters at all times. * To be flexible in working environment and location, in theUKand Overseas, consistent with good working practices and those countries theUKgovernment consider a safe location to visit. * Performing Preventative and Shutdown maintenance. * Able to support general administration activities both technical and non-technical. * Provide technical assistance and mentoring to less experienced members of the department. * Review and check the work of others i.e Peer checking Great opportunity within expanding organisation.
