Systems Project Quality Engineer

Main Accountabilities:

Leadership and coaching of team members in Design and process FMEAs. Conduct supplier FMEA, and interface FMEA with the customer.
Concept selection for resolution of design & process challenges.
Supplier development and control as required.
Quality criteria flow down between customer and supplier.
Voice of the customer working in concert with the Product Assurance team.
Drawing reviews for complete capable specification ensuring measurable parts, including finishes and subjective visual requirements
Lead Phased Design and Readiness Reviews within the project life cycle.
ESD, cleanliness and handling and storage champion for the project.
Ensure best practice and lessons learned are applied
Incoming component validation, monitor assembly and test, oversee outgoing inspections, internal and customer acceptances DRB
Administer, co-authorise and close out permits, concessions & MRBs

Ideal Experience:

Experience in Quality Engineering in an ISO 9001 environment including project delivery involving customer-facing role and supplier development.
Fully competent and proven experience in leading and mentoring Design and Process FMEAs and concept selection exercises.
Broad background in design and production for electro-mechanical parts and assemblies with electronics and software experience an advantage.
Familiarity with geometrical measurement and calibration
