Systems Modelling Engineer

Systems Modelling Engineer is required with experience in developing technical, deliverable applications and will have been exposed to all aspects of systems modelling activities including customer facing and requirements capture.

Typical activities will include:
Development and proof of the underlying mathematical models.
The full software system life cycle from requirement specification, through analysis, design, implementation and testing to maintenance and use.
Hardware-in-the-loop- planning, integration, test, data analysis, anomaly/error reporting, documentation.

The successful candidate will have the below skills:
Experience in the derivation of simulation requirements: system timelines, operational modes, use cases, error budgets and human factors.
Experience in the development of mathematical models and algorithms of physical and engineering processes.
Experience in the design, development and use of complex simulation software to 1S09001/TickIt Standards.
Proficiency in the use of Matlab/Simulink.
Ability to communicate detailed mathematical engineering problems/solutions to successfully meet customer needs.

Knowledge of one or more of the following:
Fire control algorithms.
Multi-degree of freedom dynamic simulation.
Vehicle dynamics.
Gimballed systems.
Terrain modelling.
Optical systems.
Exterior ballistics.
Monte Carlo error allocation.
Kalman filters.
Sensor data integration.
Target location.

Candidates must be willing to undergo a security vetting procedure.
