The SYSTEMS INTEGRATIONS TECH in this contract position will provide onsite support to the image management team for a major retail client. Work is at the customer site in Austin, TX and the resource will take direction from the local customer manager.

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Research, design, develop, and test computer or computer-related equipment.
- Supervise the manufacturing and installation of computer or computer-related equipment.
- Update knowledge and skills to keep up with rapid advancements in computer technology.
- Provide technical support to designers, marketing and sales departments, suppliers, engineers and other team members throughout the product development and implementation process.
- Test and verify hardware and support peripherals to ensure that they meet specifications and requirements, by recording and analysing test data.
- Monitor functioning of equipment and make necessary modifications to ensure the system operates in conformance with specifications.
- Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan layout, including type of computers and peripheral equipment modifications.
- Build, test, and modify product prototypes using working models or theoretical models constructed with computer simulation.
- Analyze user needs and recommend appropriate hardware.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent training/education required
- 5 to 7 years customer service related experience required
- Windows 7 desktop support experience required; Windows 8 experience a plus
- Experience developing and maintaining Windows OS images using the following system management technologies: Intermediate SCCM 2007 experience required, SCCM 2012 a plus
- Active Directory experience with knowledge of OU structures, AD security, local and group policy required
- Ability to thoroughly document, maintain, and improve standardized processes around desktop management required
- Experience troubleshooting Microsoft Office 2003/2010 products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, Project, and Internet Explorer required
- Scripting (PowerShell/VBScript) or software development experience (C#, VB.NET) a plus
- Experience with Windows Deployment Services a plus
- General knowledge of computer software, such as configuration management software, desktop communications software, operating system software and Internet directory services software
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage one's time
- Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback
