Rate: £40.80 per hour

OUTSOURCE UK LTD are actively seeking to recruit a Systems Engineer for a contract role on behalf of a client.

THE CLIENT:
A leading Engineering and Defence organisation

THE JOB:
The successful Systems engineer candidates will be responsible for the following:
The management and maintenance of the complete suite of SWS requirements
Utilisation of best practice methodologies; process framework models and processes eg system engineering methodologies
Liaison with cross-functional teams, internal and external to the business ensuring that optimum solutions are developed that are compliant with the requirement set
Work with the Client and other stakeholders to determine and manage their expectations and ensure these are met satisfactorily
Encourages and guides innovation and continuous improvement and be able to challenge current practice where appropriate
To develop, continually improve and roll out processes, procedures and standards ensuring interfaces with other design areas are identified and Embedded

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
Documentation that provides assurance that the programme meets US and coordinated requirements for SWS

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & KNOWLEDGE
Sufficient knowledge of the range of disciplines involved in the product design and integration to be able to identify where design compromise may be necessary and how best to achieve this
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers/stakeholders
Enthusiastic team player who is able to adapt to new policies and processes
Understanding of complex Weapon system requirements and how these may influence Whole Boat design
Understanding of Systems Engineering techniques and competencies including the operation of the DOORS database
Understanding of Life Cycle Management and how the maturity of the Successor submarine is developed through this framework
Understanding of the Polaris Sales Agreement and supporting Technical Arrangements and their practical application in submarine design, integration and test and commissioning
