Systems Engineering Manager

Urgent requirement for a Systems Engineering Manager to join an established consultancy working on a rail project. This role will be for 12 months initially, based in London, however 50% of the role will require travelling to Wiltshire, Birmingham and Cheadle.

Responsibilities for managing associated DOORs databases are undertaken by the NRTMS requirements management

General Responsibilities:
[1] RIF/First Deployment Telephony Technical Lead
*RIF/First deployment telephony requirements management
Working with PDA/Architects/LDO/NR ops to ensure solution meets operational requirements.
Chair/Coordination of technical solution review meetings
Generation of TQs/RFIs
Coordination of Change request response - internally and from suppliers.
Management/Tracking of NR RIF deliverables
Management of technical issues with Network Rail Telecoms (NRT) and associated telephony subsystem provider Frequentist.
[2] Technical supplier management
*Siemens SC&D requirements management
Technical POC - Interfacing with Applications team (Birmingham), R&D (Chippenham) and RIF team (Chippenham).
"Bridge" between internal discipline leads and relevant Siemens counter parts - Safety, HF, IVV, H/W, S/W. Coordination of associated meetings, tracking of relevant dependencies and deliverables to NR.
Assessment and review of design deliverables. Coordination of DRN response for associated NR comments against deliverables.
Technical issue resolution

Technical Support to PM in progress reviews and commercial discussions
