Systems Engineering Manager

The System Engineering Manager will be the focal point for the coordination of the technical activities on a system based project.

Acting as a Design Authority they will be the focal point for the overall technical solution, overseeing all technical decisions both within the programme and with the customer base. This will involve a detailed understanding of the system requirements and specifications and how those requirements are captured and subsequently flowed down to the project delivery teams and subcontractors. They will be responsible for the technical aspects of the engineering delivery life cycle.

As the System Engineering Manager, they will be responsible for the overall engineering life cycle, defining what systems engineering capabilities will be required to both deliver a fully compliant solution to the customer.

Key External interfaces: Customers, sub-contractors, and delivery partners

Key Internal interfaces: Programme Manager, System Engineers, SDA, Mechanical designers, Electronics designers, Operations, assembly and test. Characterisation engineering

The Ideal Candidate will have experience of high value/high profile engineering projects, ideally within space, but experienced managers from Aerospace or Defence would still be considered.

The will also be a requirement to undergo an SC clearance process unless already cleared.
