ROLE: SYSTEMS ENGINEER (WAS/LINUX)

LOCATION: COLUMBIA, SC

DURATION: 6MONTHS +

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible for the WebSphere Application Server and Linux installation, administration, configuration, security, customization, performance tuning and troubleshooting. This position also involves heavy interaction with portal developers and also will be involved in establishing standards and guidelines for WebSphere App server (WAS) and Linux related solutions.

CANDIDATE TECHNICAL BACKGROUND:
-- Candidate should have WebSphere Application Server (WAS) technical background with Linux experience.
-- Shell Scripting experience.
-- WebSphere Portal - WCM experience.

WORKING HOURS/CONDITIONS:
On-Call and Weekend work may be required. Team participates in on-site infrastructure maintenance at least one Sunday in a month, usually 2nd Sunday of the month.
Share knowledge and expertise with other members of Technical Support. Demonstrate initiative. Able to work in an environment with competing priorities.
