Systems Engineer/Tester Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a SYSTEMS ENGINEER/TESTER to join our client in San Diego, California.

POSSESSION OF A DOD SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED AS A CONDITION FOR EMPLOYMENT.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Utilize HPES testing methodology; analyze testing requirements as the basis for developing testing scenarios for a test level to be executed on a project.
- Participate as a member of a testing team.
- Design testing scenarios and test cases that will demonstrate conformance to all functional and non-functional requirements, relative to the test level, as designed in business or technical specifications.
- Execute tasks related to the production of the Test Plan, test cases, test scripts and test data.
- Analyze the results of the testing process and recommends solutions.
- Define, identify, collect and organize detailed information relating to testing requirements.
- Interact with the project team to gain an understanding of the business environment, technical context, and conformance criteria.
- Stay current on established tools, techniques and technologies.
- Supports knowledge management and collaboration through participation in testing discussion, communities and improving testing collateral through lessons learned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum five (5) years of related IT experience.
- Security +.
- One to two (1 - 2) years' experience in writing and executing test cases, test scripts.
- Experience with Defense Information Security Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG).
- Knowledgeable in testing and development methodologies and their interaction.
- Knowledgeable of testing processes and testing metrics.
- Proficient in testing analysis and design, functional and performance models, and test specifications to validate functional models for testing, validate performance models for testing, develop test specification, validate test specification, validate testing coverage.
- Excellent problem determination and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working collaboratively with engineers and fellow teammates.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

- A Technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience on the following platforms: Windows Server 2003/2008 Enterprise R2, Microsoft IIS 6.0/7.5, Tomcat, JBOSS, MSSQL 2005/2008, Oracle 11g back ends.
- Experience with HP Business Service Products, Business Service Management, Universal Discovery, Network Node Manager, Operations Manager, and Business Process Monitor a plus.
- UNIX, Linux and Windows knowledge and experience.
- SECRET CLEARANCE.
- MCP.
